Not every batch turns out exactly how I imagined… and that’s okay. These bars are a collection of discontinued scents, experimental batches, or soaps that didn’t meet my usual standards for the main collection — but they are still perfectly usable bars of handmade soap.

Each As They Are bar is discounted because it may have a scent that didn’t become a favorite, a color or design variation, a texture difference, or simply didn’t fit where I wanted to take the collection. They may not be “perfect,” but they still carry the same care, ingredients, and craftsmanship as every bar made in The Red Deer Apothecary.

Ingredients:
Ingredients vary by bar. Please refer to the individual soap listing or label for the complete ingredient list. Main soap base is Extra virgin olive oil, shea butter, avocado oil, coconut oil and sodium hydroxide(lye). All added ingredients will be listed below.

Summer Solstice: turmeric powder, chamomile flowers, essential oils; lavender, sweet orange, and roman chamomile.

Winter Solstice: pink kaolin clay, activated charcoal powder, garnish lavender buds, essential oils juniper berry, bergamot, and lavender.

Wild Moose: spirulina powder, orange peel zest, garnished with dried orange, essential oils; patchouli, sweet orange, and clove.

Eternal Rose: pink kaolin clay, madder root powder, rose petals, essential oils; clary sage, geranium, rose, and frankincense.

Sunshine: White kaolin clay, calendula petals, essential oils; tangerine, lime, and spearmint.

Fields of Lavender: White kaolin clay, lavender buds, and lavender essential oil.

Charcoal + Lavender: grapeseed oil, activated charcoal powder, calcium bentonite clay, essential oils; lavender and patchouli.

Peppermint grove: grapeseed oil, activated charcoal, turmeric powder, essential oils; cedarwood, frankincense, and peppermint.

Rooibos + Bergamot: castor oil, rooibos tea infused, loose leaf rooibos tea, essential oils; bergamot and ginger.

Lavender + Chamomile Goats Milk Soap: pasteurized goats' milk, castor oil, olive oil, essential oils; lavender, and chamomile garnished with lavender buds, and chamomile flowers.

Daydream: Madder root powder, essential oils; jasmine, sweet orange and sandalwood.

Green Tea + Lime: castor oil, gunpowder green tea infused, French green clay, essential oils; black pepper, frankincense, and lime. Garnished with loose leaf gunpowder green tea, and peppercorns.

Butterfly Garden: turmeric powder, essential oils; lavender, sweet orange, chamomile, and vanilla. Garnished with Lavender, blue corn flower, and dried chamomile flower.

Wild Rose + Ginger: castor oil, white kaolin clay, pink kaolin clay, madder root powder, essential oils; rose, ginger, ylang ylang, garnished with rose petals and blue corn flower.

Unscented Soap Bar: Coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, shea butter, and sodium hydroxide(lye).

Fall Equinox: paprika powder, essential oils; sweet orange, frankincense, and ginger.

Hibiscus + Mint: castor oil, infused with hibiscus, peppermint and stringing nettle tea, pink kaolin clay powder, madder root powder, garnished with hibiscus flower and peppermint leaf's, essential oils; bergamot, frankincense, and peppermint.

Mother Earth: French green clay powder, essential oils; clary sage, marjoram, patchouli, bergamot, and copaiba garnished with corn flower blend, saffron petals, and rose petals.

Coffee + Cedarwood: castor oil, cold brew coffee, white kaolin powder, cocoa powder, essential oils; coffee and cedarwood. garnished with whole/ground coffee.

These bars are sold as they are and are discounted for a reason. Some may have scent variations, cosmetic imperfections, discoloration, design flaws, texture differences, or may be discontinued fragrances that are no longer part of the collection.

By purchasing an As They Are Bar, you understand that the soap may not meet the same aesthetic standards as our regular collection. However, each bar is still handmade with the same quality ingredients and is safe and ready to use.
